Dear Reader,

Welcome to issue 8!
This week:

  • It Pays to be Stayer not a Jumper
  • This Week’s Knockout Bet
Admittedly I’ve been a little sidetracked by Cheltenham this week and am a couple of days late with this week’s newsletter.
But I wanted to take a little time to explain to you how you WILL make a good profit by looking at betting in the right way.

It Pays to be Stayer not a Jumper

A little over a month ago a good number of people took me up on my offer to try out my Winning Racing Tips each way betting service.

A fair proportion have stuck with the service and I’m sure, in time, will be treating themselves to a nice holiday, maybe doing some home improvement, or simply enjoying a welcome boost to their finances. Thanks to the profits they will have accumulated.

Another group followed the tips for the free period and were either financially not in a position to sign up or decided the service wasn’t for them, or was not profitable.

My trial is about giving people a taster of what I offer and demonstrating that I run an honest and open service, it isn’t something that can prove the long term profitability.

A few weeks simply doesn’t provide a large enough sample of bets.
Over 1000 bets IS a big enough sample size though and that’s exactly what you get with the past performance.

Things are tight for a lot of people right now, and I know a lot of people aren’t in a position to risk any money for a betting bank. Fair enough.

BUT - I am absolutely NOT in business to help people LOSE money.

So it frustrates me that this is exactly what happens when someone “jumps ship” before allowing enough time to see how results pan out.

Taking the last month for instance, up to the 26th February we’d had a pretty dire run and were showing about a 17% bank drop for the month.

This was enough for some people to say that they’d lost enough and it wasn’t for them.

With my advised stakes the bank was only reduced to 83%, not a cause for concern and indeed not even abnormal in the general scheme of things.

Since then we’ve had 14 selections with results as follows:

(Remember these are Each-Way)

Postmaster 7/1 Placed.
Samsons Son 10/1 Won.
A 9/2 each way double. (Place win).
The Panama Kid 6/1 Placed.
Thunderstuck 12/1 Unplaced.
Magellan Straits 4/1 Placed.
Astrodome 11/2 Won.
Jawaaher 6/1 Unplaced.
Twilight Dawn 7/1 Placed.
Rodney’s Pillar 12/1 Placed.
Sundae Best 9/1 Placed.
Sunsetten 9/2 Unplaced.
Petit Robin 16/1 Placed.
Briareus 18/1 Unplaced.

A run that recovered all of the 17% loss.

I think you can see my point.

Getting to grips with using a betting bank, being disciplined and sticking to a staking plan is not always as easy as it appears.
The mental game can easily come into play. I think that dealing with losing runs is all part of the learning curve and most of us have been there.
Of course anyone that has tried my service and didn’t stick with it, for whatever reason is always welcomed back as member again.

Money Management, Placing the bets correctly, and Patience are all subjects covered in detail within the Members Welcome Pack, which is a free guide I have written to help ensure you make money by from my service.

I have decided to keep the free trial running for the time being, so if you haven’t yet signed up, you can do so here:

http://www.winningracingtips.co.uk/freetrial.html

Not only will you get my Each Way Value tips but starting April you will also get my Lay tips, which made a superb profit at the start of the flat last year.

If you have already been on the trial you are always welcome back, the free trial option will no longer be available to you however.

This Week’s Knockout Bet

Marco Antonio Barrera v Amir Khan

This is a strange and intriguing fight, to steal a phrase that Gerald Ratner used this week, this is "shit or bust" for Khan.
Fighting a Mexican legend, and winning would be a good way of Khan getting his career back on track.
But the fact remains that from what we have seen thus far, he has a suspect chin.
Stepping up in class significantly, Khan will certainly get hit and have that chin tested tonight. Although I like Khan's style and he obviously has very quick hands and good power, Barrera has "been there, got the T shirt". I remember very well watching in awe as Barrera dismantled the cocky (yet brilliant) Prince Nasseem Hamed, when a much bigger price than today.
Barrera might not be the same fighter that he was back then, but Hamed had a decent chin, something Khan cannot lay claim to.
Given the fact that Khan looks an exposed fighter, I would have to make Barrera the favourite for this and therefore I'm having small stakes on a Barrera KO with a covering bet on a pts victory.

Marco Antonio Barrera by KO TKO or Disqualification @ 5/2 VCBet. 1.5% stake.
Barrera by decision @ 11/2 Sportingbet. 0.5% stake.

Until next week,

Kind Regards
